Dental health is a very important, often overlooked part of your pet’s health and well-being. It is important to get your pet’s dental health evaluated by your veterinarian at least once a year. It should be sooner if you notice any warning signs.
This year for the entire month of February we will be offering walk-in complimentary dental exams for our existing clients Tuesday-Thursday from 2-3 pm. As well as 15% off select dental products. This complimentary dental exam will allow your veterinarian to evaluate your pet’s dental health and make recommendations for dental procedures. Your pet will also receive a free dental health goodie bag at the end of their complimentary dental exam!
Signs that signal something may be going on in your pet’s mouth include:
- Bad breath
- Broken or loose teeth
- Retained baby teeth
- Teeth that are discolored
- Abnormal chewing or excessive drooling
- Reduced appetite
At-home prevention can play a key role in maintaining dental health for your pet! Regularly brushing your pets teeth is the single most effective thing to do between dental cleanings. Although daily is best, it is recommended to brush your pet’s teeth at least 3 times a week. This may reduce the frequency that your pet requires dental cleanings. Patience and training play a key role in a successful brushing routine for you and your pet. Be sure to check back to our website all month for more information about National Dental Health Month.
If you have any questions or concerns about your pet’s dental health please make an appointment to discuss any concerns you have with your pet’s dental health, as well as any changes you would like to make in your pet’s dental routine.
